TAURANGA ‘SEA TO TEE’ GOLF EXPERIENCE

Departing from Tauranga Port, our Sea to Tee all-inclusive golf experience is designed specifically with our cruise ship visitors in mind. Leaving daily on all dates we have ships in port, we will collect you from the ship where you will be driven by our golf and tour guide to one of our partnered clubs for the day. The journey will include 60-75 minutes of scenic cruising before enjoying 18 holes at our chosen course, a quick stop at the 19th if time permits, and then winding down on the journey home.

WHAKATANE GOLF CLUB

A member’s course with views out to Moutohora (Whale Island). The challenging Par 70 / 71 layout crafted in 1932 has stood the test of time.

LAKEVIEW GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB

A parkland course nestled on the slopes of the Mamaku Range with views across Lake Rotorua, Mokoia Island, and Mount Tarawera in the distance.

In the heart of the rolling Waikato countryside, you’ll feel like you are on the set of the Lord of the Rings. Minus the Orcs.

OUR STORY

Like a lot of businesses, our story started with an idea. We love golf, and we think that New Zealand has an amazing, and perhaps more importantly, unique, golf story to tell. We’ve played golf all over the world, and all over New Zealand.

Our top courses are amazing – equal to anything, anywhere, in every respect. But there’s so much more we’d love to share.

What about the weather?

New Zealand has a largely temperate climate which means mild temperatures, moderate rainfall, and abundant sunshine. The warmest months are December, January and February (our summer) when the average maximum temperature ranges between 20 – 30ºC (68 to 86 Fahrenheit). Long days are the norm with full sunlight until well after 8pm. It can be humid. We advise you to keep an eye on the local weather at metservice.co.nz and dress accordingly.

How do we get there?

This is a door-to-door service, we’ll be waiting for you as you walk off your Ship at the Tauranga Port and we’ll have you back in time to depart. Our luxury, modern 12-14 seat minivans are a pleasure to travel in.

Getting there is half the fun. Depending on where we play that day, you’ll travel the coastline past stunning beaches, volcanoes, and ancient Māori Pa sites (“Pa” is the Kiwi version of a fortified hilltop. But we like to undersell ourselves, so we just call them “Pa”. (Say it like Par in Golf)). Or inland to the rolling Waikato farmlands (think Lord of the Rings Hobbiton) or the Rotorua Lakes district, NZ’s geothermal wonderland, with lake vistas and native birdlife.
